FAQs

How long does a physiotherapy appointment last ?

The initial appointment will include a full holistic assessment in order to establish
your problem/condition. The first assessment will take up to an hour. Follow up
appointments require 45 minutes.

What happens at a physiotherapy appointment ?

The physiotherapist will need to see the part of the body that is causing you problems. You will be asked to remove items of clothing to some degree. You may have a chaperone present if you wish.

Will I have to do exercises?

Patients are always given a home exercise programme to assist their recovery.
These will be demonstrated by the physiotherapist. You will be given a printed pictorial easy to follow programme to help you refer to.

What are your opening times?

Various daytime, evening and weekend appointments are available to suit you.

What are your payment terms?

Most self referring patients will pay after each treatment session by cash, cheque or bank transfer.

Do I need a referral from my doctor?

No. All patients can self refer, the Physiotherapists will advise if they think a doctor’s referral is necessary.

How many treatments will I need?

The amount of treatment prescribed will depend upon the physiotherapist’s assessment findings. Most patients will require 2-6 treatment sessions but this is variable from individual to individual.

I am always happy to just assess and advise if
patients want to completely self manage their condition.

How much does physiotherapy cost ?

Please see the price list allocated within the tab above for the cost of private home visits additional to the price within the clinic setting.  Prices are inclusive of all clinical documentation time, application and removal of PPE.
